Day 3/Day 4

So yesterday was hectic. Got to take the hubs to his first day at B&N and got to spend 7+ hours chilling in the store...I really didn't want to try and drive back to the house and get stuck...considering most roads are still awful. So as a result of chilling around, my picture for day 3 is a result of complete boredom..lol

And so today I got to trek to campus and help out a friend/student that is in the section of Historical Research I'm a TA for. But it was productive time spe
nt in the library for her! But the rest of the day was pretty much lazy. I spent part of the afternoon working on stuff for a paper for one class then I took a nice little nap. Thanks to the weather being a a royal pain I'm getting sick again...On a side note, I think Mother Nature needs to quit pissing off Old Man Winter and give him some loving so we can get out of this frozen tundra we call Oklahoma currently.

Tonight was a lazy night as well..watched Blue Harvest and the Its A Trap (the Family Guy spoofs of Star Wars) and I may popcorn with our awesome home popper...but I do think the instructions are a little wrong on the amount of kernels n
eeded...It called for a cup...I think maybe 3/4 of a cup would be better... The popcorn was pushing the top up and unpopped kernels and popped ones were flying out from under the edge of the lid...it was like a war zone! But it was yummy. We have plenty left over, so we'll be good for the next few movie nights. But here's what the back side looked like..lol

Well I must leave for the evening...early day tomorrow and a long one...

Day 2!

Well looky here, I'm back, 2 days in a row!!! Anyways, today was another snow day, as will tomorrow. I was bad and didn't Zumba today...but I did get some exercise in while trying to move snow around to get out and get some stuff...which we were able to. Saw a few idiots out there on the roads. I should be working on class stuff...but I want to be lazy..lol. I do better under deadline anyways..

After dinner I made some yummy peanut butter cookies..which leads me to my picture of the day:

And I was bad...I had more than 2 but hey...I'll work it off tomorrow shoveling snow and doing my Zumba workout. Hopefully tomorrow I'll actually get school stuff done, but who knows...

Time to go snuggle on this chilly evening with the hubby!

Almost a year...

My, oh my...It has been almost a year...and a crazy one. School has been hectic. Graduated last May with my Bachelors and headed straight into my Masters. As a result, I'll be done thisDecember of 2011. I've now been married for almost a month...I can't wait for the pictures to appear. I'm already happy with the 3 sneak peaks that I have already seen.

So anyways, those of you who read this blog maybe wondering why I have reappeared..Well, I'm challenging myself to do several things. I want to try and do the 365 days of photos to see what my year has been like. I've wanted to do it in the past, but could never commit myself to it... but I am this time, along with getting my weight under control. Jeremy and I want children in the future and I don't want to be that fat, out of shape mom once we have child. Plus I don't want complications during the pregnancy that can and would be associated with my weight. It also doesn't help that I'm setting myself up for diabetes, especially since it runs in the family. I want to lower the risk of diabetes for our children since Jeremy's side has a history of it as well...

So here's to my commitment to these challenges, on this snowy day of February 1, 2011.

And now, for your viewing pleasure...a random pic from the day, the snow drift between our cars!

Life...where do I begin...

It has been an extremely long time since I posted on this blog....School has overrun my life but I graduate in May and then I go into grad. school this summer. Luckily I have a lot of the wedding stuff done, minus a few things here and there that are important but can wait till spring break to be taken care, though I am excited about the beginning of spring break! On March 15, Jeremy and I will be doing engagement pictures with the wonderful Kriea! I am so thankful that I found her and booked her when I did.

I've also been busy to a certain extent with helping my MOH prepare for the arrival of her baby in June. There have been some complications with the pregnancy but the baby girl is a fighter and is healthy! But I've been busy painting polka dots on the nursery walls and designing the friend's baby shower invitations. I've been also trying to plan what all to do and what kind of food for the shower, even though I've got just under two months till the shower.

So yeah, I've been busy. And it doesn't help that with all of the graphic art and art stuff I've been doing and all the planning of stuff, I keep getting told that I'm going into the wrong career of working in a museum...well I'll just say this...those skills will come in handy especially if I'm in a small museum. I'll know how to through an event and have it planned to a 'T' as well as design invites or whatever for it. Plus when it comes to designing exhibits or whatever, those skills come in handy too!

And I guess if things don't go as planned because of the economy, I always have the graphic art ability to fall back on.

ok...I'm done ranting about that...nothing else really is going on...other than life just happening....

Its been a long, long time...

Life has been insanely busy as of late. Wedding planning is more or so on hold until Christmas Break...yay 19 credit hours this semester...But I have been doing somethings here an there or just vegging out on WeddingBook or The Knot...

Though I am now back on the hunt for a wedding coordinator for the day of....thanks to this economy...which makes me really sad. I really liked Allison! Oh well, such is life...

So needless to say, I don't know what kind of price range I'll be in now in regards to the cost of a coordinator. People say, why not have a family member or close friend do it....I don't want to put that stress on family or friends....plus the wedding is at a museum and I want to make sure everything runs smoothly. So now I'm trying to find areas to cut corners so to speak. I'd really prefer to do my own food but my mom would rather have a caterer do it...I don't want to spend close to $5k on food...there are other things that I could spend some of that on, like actually getting the chairs I want, and I don't have to deal with tips and gratuity for waitstaff...plus I would save about $3-4k if I was to do it...I guess if she doesn't want to mess with it, I'm pretty sure I'll end up doing it on my own so....

Blarg...I must get back to working on this paper for my Vietnam class...oh the glorious things I've learned about Agent Orange.....

Its been a while

So I've been very bad, its been 10 plus days since I posted on here, but hey, I have a reason! I've been busy with my internship and my technical writing class. Plus I haven't done much planning wise anyways. The summer is almost over and I still want some things to do once 2010 rolls around.

The only wedding related stuff that I've done lately was taking my 2 future nieces to the Alfred Angelo store in Tulsa on Sunday. They didn't care that I didn't have an appointment, especially since it was so dead for the day after the 4th. The girls tried on their dresses and didn't want to get out of them. The oldest of the girls, Alana said she really liked the dress, but it was hard to breath in...lol. The other, Heather, kept going up to the mirror with Alana and then would kind of dance around. I love those girls. The joys of marrying a man who already has the nieces and nephews. I may try and post pictures of the girls in the dresses here soon.

Anyways, some other exciting news...tomorrow, July 8, will be the year and a half mark till the wedding. Yes I'm really starting to freak out. Plus this fall, I have to file for graduation in the Spring...everything is really starting to set in...wow..insane.

Well I need to go. I'm either going to go back to work on my technical writing stuff or I'm going to read Fade to Black by Leslie Parrish. She's a friend of my mom's and her book came out today!! But my mom received an advanced copy of it without the actual cover, but according to her, once I start reading it, I won't be putting it down for long... Yippee!!!

I am waiting to get the money saved up so I can put the money down on my wedding coordinator. I'm really excited to book her! Now if only that money tree would grow!!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions....

So Friday, Jeremy and I got to meet Allison of Glass Slipper Occasions ! She was so easy going and actually answered a question that another coordinator avoided by saying that it would be dealt with when the time comes!

So now I begin the taunting task of deciding between the two that are at the top of my list....Stay tuned for a decision!
